Abstract:Objective To set up a scale for measuring midwife performance in meeting pregnant women’ demand for outpatient service. Methods We used qualitative methodology together with the use of Delphi method to form pretesting scale, and then validate the scale through an experiment in clinical application. Results We proposed a scale consisting of 30 items and 4 dimensions. The scale has a contributable fraction of 67.3%, and has good repeatability. Conclusion The midwife outpatient service could be measured by the scale. This scale may be used to improve midwifery service in outpatient clinics.
