Abstract:Objective To investigate the potential effect of CENP-H abnormal changes on chromosomal numerical abnormality in spontaneous abortion embryos. Methods Fluorescence in situ hybridization was used to detect the numerical chromosome abnormality in 96 villus tissues from women with spontaneous abortion. Real-time PCR and western-blotting were used to detect the mRNA and protein levels of CENP-H in the villus tissues of all subjects.Results 44.79% of the cases had numerical chromosome abnormality, including autosomal abnormalities (26 cases) and sex chromosomal abnormalities (10 cases). Compared with normal chromosome group, the mRNA and protein levels of CENP-H were significantly decreased in chromosome abnormality group (P<0.05).Conclusion From these data we supposed that the abnormal changes of CENP-H may be correlated with chromosomal numerical abnormality in the villus tissues of spontaneous abortion embryos.
