Abstract:Objective This study aims to evaluate how the expression of the adensin-like metalloproteinase (Adamts) gene and its lncRNA in type I platelet-binding protein motif affect preterm delivery and premature rupture of membranes.Methods From March 2017 to March 2018, a total of 120 pregnant women were recruited from the obstetrics and gynaecology department of the Inner Mongolian Maternal and Child Care Hospital. According to the gestational weeks of the pregnant women and conditions of their fetal membranes, the pregnant women were divided into four groups, namely premature delivery (PD) and premature rupture of membrane (PRM), PD and non-premature rupture of membrane (non-PRM), full-term delivery (FTD) and PRM, and FTD and non-RM. 30 clinical cases were involved in each group. After delivery, a rupture at the margin of fetal membrane were extracted from the maternal placenta. The samples were refrigerated at -80℃. Real-time quantitative PCR was used to analyze relative expression of Adamts-9 and lncAdamts-9 of each group.Results The relative expressions of Adamts-9 and lncAdamts-9 were varied in a similar pattern. The expression was higher in PRM groups than the non-PRM groups; and the highest expression level was found in the group of FTD and PRM. The differences were statistically significant.Conclusion Both Adamts-9 and lncAdamts-9 are likely to play a role in the intrinsic regulation mechanisms of premature rupture of membranes.
