Abstract：Objective To investigate antibiotic susceptibility of Ureaplasma urealyticum to common clinical first-line antibiotics in patients with infertility collected from 2007 to 2018.Methods A retrospective analysis of Ureaplasma urealyticum antibiotic susceptibility (sensitivity rate, intermediary rate and drug resistance rate) was made in 6 516 patients who were diagnosed as infertility by Department of infertility (reproductive center) in the STD Laboratory of Department of Dermatology and Venereology in our hospital. Among them, 2 090 (32.1%) were male (22-56 years old), 4 426 (67.9%) were female (20-46 years old). Nine antibiotics were used, including minocycline, doxycycline, erythromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin, roxithromycin, ciprofloxacin, sparfloxacin and levofloxacin.Results The sensitivity of Ureaplasma urealyticum isolates from 6 516 patients with infertility to the above-mentioned nine antibiotics was different. Doxycycline, minocycline, clarithromycin and azithromycin occupied the top four sensitivity rates, while the intermediary rates of levofloxacin, sparfloxacin, roxithromycin and erythromycin were relatively high, and the resistance rate of ciprofloxacin was particularly prominent.Conclusion Ureaplasma urealyticum infection in genital tract of patients with infertility should be standardly d treated according to the Results of antibiotic susceptibility.
