Abstract:Objective To comprehensively evaluate the development status in 2020, spatial distribution characteristics and regional differences of maternal and child health care in China from 2010 to 2020. Methods This study was based on the data from China Health Statistical Yearbook and China Statistical Yearbook. We selected six maternal health related indicators and six child health related indicators from Chinese provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) in 2010, 2015 and 2020 to evaluate the regional differences and development changes in the quality of maternal and child health care by entropy weight and TOPSIS method. Results According to the TOPSIS, the top place of maternal and child quality was Beijing and the last place was Yunnan. From 2010 to 2020, Beijing, Shanghai and other places have always been in the forefront, Zhejiang, Ningxia and other places have increased in ranking, and Jiangsu, Tianjin and other places have decreased in ranking to a certain extent. The index of dissimilarity (ID) of maternal mortality rate was between 0.1 and 0.3, and the ID of the card establishment rate, system management rate, prenatal examination rate, postpartum visit rate were less than 0.1.The ID of the perinatal mortality rate, the proportion of birth weight < 2 500g and the low weight prevalence rate of children under 5 years old were between 0.1 and 0.3, and the systematic management rate of children under 3 years old and the health management rate of children under 7 years old were less than 0.1. Conclusion The quality of maternal and child health in China shows an overall increasing trend from 2010 to 2020, and the differences in the quality of maternal and child health between provinces and cities in China are small in 2020, which has a better balance in the allocation of health resources.
